ABOUT DIDI
A simple video shortener
for Shorts and short-form video.
Didi is a free browser-based video length tool for YouTube Shorts and other short-form video. Choose 30 seconds, 59 seconds, 2 minutes, 3 minutes, or a custom duration.
How it works
Select a video and Didi finds stretches where the picture stays still. It retimes those moments and the rest of the video to fit your chosen duration while keeping the source frames. The video is processed in your browser and stays on your device.
The first time you use it, your browser downloads the video engine (about 31 MB) and saves it in Cache Storage for reuse. On later visits, Didi can load the engine from this browser cache instead of downloading it again. Browser storage is best-effort: clearing site data or storage pressure may remove it.
After choosing a video, wait for processing to finish, then preview, download, or share the result.
Made for quick, focused videos
The original idea came from screen recordings of puzzle games. Long thinking pauses made those recordings too slow to share as YouTube Shorts, so Didi was designed to compress the waiting time while keeping the sequence of frames intact.
